Since 1947, the Baie-D’Urfé Citizens’ Association (CA) has represented the interest of residents to Council. Every citizen is a an ex-officio member of the Association and is invited to attend their monthly meeting which are held every third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Fritz Community Centre.
The CA also organizes many social events throughout the year such as the Baie-D’Urfé Days, the Winterfest and more recently, the Mothers’ Day breakfast and the Toy Drive. It also awards one graduating student of each school in Baie-D’Urfé with the Nancy Friedman Youth Citizenship Award annually.
The Association publishes ten editions of the News and Views each year. The magazine provides local news as well as information about Town events and activities.
The Municipal Newsletter comprised of 8 to 12 pages inserted in the first pages of the News and Views, is written, prepared and submitted by the Town’s Communications department.
You can find a column by the mayor, a council communiqué, the latter written by a different councillor for each issue on a rotary basis, an environmental section, an Industrial column and to end, the What's New section with several Town information and reminders.
