The Town of Baie-D'Urfé makes a genuine effort to keep its residents informed about ongoing activities and events in their community. It provides its citizens with information relevant to their daily lives by means of its website, its electronic billboard, Town brochures & flyers, regular communiqués, newsletters and special notices.
The Citizens' Association publishes the News and Views ten (10) times a year. It is distributed to all households in the residential sector and to all companies in the industrial sector. This magazine informs residents of seasonal services and upcoming community activities.
The municipal newsletter is inserted in the News & Views. It is created and translated in both languages by the Town's Communications department at Town Hall. It includes the Mayor's Message, the Council Communiqué, the Environmental Review and the What's New section.
For any information concerning these pages, please contact Valérie Fortin, Director of Communication at 514 457-7457.
The Town has created the Excellence Support Program in order to help defray the travel costs of citizens who distinguish themselves by representing their community at provincial, national or international competitions.
These include sporting competitions, chess tournaments, competitive debating, spelling bees, and so on.
Residents of all ages are eligible for the program provided that they supply a proof residency and must meet the program's policy requirements in order to be approved.
The Town of Baie-D’Urfé’s electronic billboard is meant to enable the Town as well as various Town volunteer groups and associations to communicate with its citizens. In some circumstances, external groups may also be authorized to post their messages.
If you would like to submit a posting request to the Town, please fill out and e-mail the form below to the Communications department. Please note that in order for the Town to approve the message, it must meet the Town of Baie-D'Urfé's Electronic Billboard Usage Policy.
