The Town Council is composed of a mayor and six councillors. Its role is to represent the population, to determine the Town’s priorities and to oversee special projects and daily activities. Councillors sit on different advisory committees along with citizens and staff members. The committees' mandate is to make recommendations to Council to streamline the decision-making process. The elected officials then make their decisions following these recommendations by means of resolutions or by-laws adopted at Council Meetings.
