The vCOP and the Rescue Squad are vital tools in our community when it comes to promoting public security. They remain volunteers, however, and are not substitutes for the police. Acts of vandalism and theft should be reported to the local police at 514 280-2222 (non‑emergency number). Please note that this line may be transferred to 9-1-1 at certain times. For all emergencies call 9-1-1.
A number of STM buses make stops in Town. You can also access the Vaudreuil-Hudson commuter train from the Baie-D’Urfé station located on Morgan and Surrey. Parking is available. You may also opt to use the shared taxibus service. Itinerary brochures are available at Town Hall.
These are taxibus stops. The Town has 23 such stops that provide citizens with access to and from the train station during rush hour periods and between the stops during the day.
The taxibus does not work like a bus with a regular, fixed schedule. You must call 514 637-4444 and reserve a seat at least 40 minutes in advance. You must specify that you are calling for the taxibus service; otherwise the taxi driver will charge you regular taxi fares. When you call, you must also specify at which stop you will board.
When boarding the taxibus, simply show a valid STM fare, either an OPUS card or a magnetic fare card.
Yes. The Town has created the Excellence Support Program in order to help defray the travel costs of Baie-D’Urfé citizens who distinguish themselves by representing their community at provincial, national or international competitions. These include, sporting competitions, chess tournaments, competitive debating, spelling bees, and so on. Application forms are available on our website and upon request at Town Hall. Applicants must meet the program's policy requirments in order to be approved.
The News & Views monthly magazine and the Annual Baie‑D’Urfé Telephone Directory are partially produced by the Baie‑D’Urfé Citizens' Association. The Town simply uses the News & Views to distribute its monthly Newsletter. Please contact the editor should you have any questions regarding content or advertising. Contact information usually appears on the first pages of the magazine.
For the monthly Municipal Newsletter, please contact Valérie Fortin, Communication Agent at 514 457-7457.
