Important Closures A-20/A-720 eastbound
We wish to remind you that major constraints on Highways 20 and 720 eastbound will affect traffic flow until 2018. These closures are necessary in order to dismantle and proceed into reconstruction of Autoroute 720 eastbound between the Turcot interchange and Atwater, which will become the new National Highway 136.
These impediments will have significant impacts on traffic going torward downtown Montréal. The Ministère des Transports invites road users to privilege public transportation and carpooling and to modify their itinerary. To choose the mode of transport best suited to their needs, users can consult the Mobilité Montréal section of the Québec 511 site.
Mid-October 2016 to 2018
This closure is necessary in order to connect this ramp to the new eastbound with a new temporary structure.
As of October 17, 5 p.m., until 2019
Complete closure of one of two lanes leading to ramp 138 Eastbound (towards Montréal) to Highway 20 Eastbound.
Note that there will be a complete night closure of the ramp October 15 and 16 to proceed with the reconfiguration of Highway 20 Eastbound. In case of inclement weather or operational constraints, the construction work could be postponed.
November 2016 to 2018
The traffic will be detoured on the first two lanes of the new route 136 eastbound and the temporary structure between Turcot interchange and the exit no. 3 – Rue Guy, Montréal (downtown).
